There is an update to the launcher GUI today that will affect the way accounts are stored and logged in.
- Accounts no longer link to each other, but are rather saved to a generic list. - Player can log into all saved accounts by logging into any account. - Upgraded localforage to 1.4.2 - Set up a more explicitly named, versioned IndexedDB - Set up simple migration between old IndexedDB and new IndexedDB - Launcher tries to merge all saved accounts into the new list - Adding a button to reload the interface when an update is detected - in favor of the old auto-reload implementation - News list updates more promptly now and only when an update is detected - Smaller server polling introduced to save data usage
We are aware of an issue regarding server certificates and the AdGlare service. We will continue to monitor and focus our efforts on fixing this issue. |

I just tried repeatedly to log in my accounts as follows: - Logged in 3 of my accounts individually after this annoying total reset.
- Closed the launcher.
- Opened the launcher and logged one account back in and found that only 2 accounts were logged in, the one I entered the credentials for and another account.
- Logged a missing account back in individually.
- Closed the launcher again, opened it again, entered the same account's credentials as in step 3 and again only found the same 2 accounts logged in as in step 3.
How to fix that?
Are you ticking the "Remember this account" box?

There is a small icon in the bottom-right half of the launcher interface where you can change the layout. |

How is bogging down the CPU going to "improve multi-account handling"? just wanna say I'm getting this issue too. just having the launcher running is using 36% of my cpu. one client only takes 7%. how the heck is the launcher more demanding then the actual game!
This has been found to be caused by the animation of the update icon. Since the launcher is using CPU for rendering, the animation has now been shut off. Please press the troublesome icon to reload the GUI. |

I do not want the launcher to auto login the accounts when I start the launcher, I want them to be logged in when I enter the credentials of one account. Like it has been for months now and should continue to be.
You still have to tick "remember this account" in order to store the accounts that you want logged in automatically. Then you can press logout and the next time you log in, don't tick the "remember this account" box on the account you use to log in with! |

I gotta ask, what did you guys change because it's not happy about something.
Please try restarting the launcher or pressing the update icon in the upper-right corner. |

Well, I've restarted it multiple times, since I just close it now when it opens the clients I need. Can you be more specific about what this update icon looks like? Do you mean refresh under the E?
It is a blue circular refresh icon. If you have restarted the launcher already you should have the latest version though, so it's become hidden. There is a problem with rendering in the launcher, so before current GUI version(1.793) the launcher was causing heavy CPU load. However, now there are no persistent animations and the load shouldn't be anywhere near that anymore. |

Then you can press logout and the next time you log in, don't tick the "remember this account" box on the account you use to log in with! This is not exactly how it works right now. I have logged in all 3 accounts without checking the "Remember this account (insecure)" box ticked. 2 of the accounts log in automatically when I enter the credentials (Rivr's, of which I enter the credentials, and another), but the 3rd account does not log in automatically. This is a weird behavior and not nearly as convenient as the behavior that I am used to from before this update. Funny thing: If I use the credentials of the account that does not want to auto-login when I enter Rivr's account's credentials, all 3 accounts are logged in just fine. Guess I need to use his login credentials again to login my accounts. And still not used the Remember Account checkbox.
Reproduced. Will post when it is patched. |

And if I check the box it remembers but there isn't ANY credentials check on startup. The desired behavior is: On startup, the credentials for ONE account have to be entered, then all accounts are ready.
Please see this post about the latest update for a more comprehensive description of remembering accounts in the launcher. |

That is an old version of the GUI (1.971) We are on 1.982 at the moment.

Have even resorted to reinstalling system images and trying the process again.
If I can't resolve this by 30th then I'm gonna have to say goodbye to Eve since I can't launch the bloody thing!
Is there an issue with upgrading the launcher or is it just me?
What specifically is your problem? What OS are you on? Have you downloaded the latest launcher build from https://community.eveonline.com/support/download ? |

Have you downloaded the latest launcher build from https://community.eveonline.com/support/download ? Using Windows7. I followed the steps to update the launcher but once complete, the launcher failed to launch...nothing. I installed a system image and repeated the upgrade steps you recommend...again the launcher failed to launch. Any help would be greats thanks.
